St. Mary’s Hospital Laboratory Services provides a full range of state-of-the-art laboratory testing. The laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks. This around-the-clock lab provides reliable, accurate results to assist your physician with your care. Highly skilled medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, and phlebotomists staff the lab 24 hours a day, seven days a week. St. Mary’s board-certified pathologists are also available for physician consultations.

Our conveniently located Outpatient Specimen Collection office operates from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for all testing. Please register at Patient Registration on the 1st floor and bring your physician's order with you. For after-hours service, please register at the Emergency Center. Test results will be faxed to your physician as soon as the results are available.

In addition to the main laboratory at St. Mary's Hospital, St. Mary's laboratory is creating convenient, walk-in collection centers:

• Medical Resource Park, 1500 Oglethorpe Ave., Suite 2400, Athens, inside St. Mary's Industrial Medicine
• The Exchange, 2470 Daniels Bridge Road, Athens, just off Ga. 316. Take the Oconee Connector, turn east onto Daniels Bridge Road and go 0.6 miles to The Exchange.
