Love Light

Love Light

The Love Light campaign is an annual fundraiser sponsored by St. Mary's Auxiliary to benefit St. Mary's inpatient Hospice House and patient services.

Initially, funds were raised for the actual construction of the 12-bed state-of-the-art care facility. Since opening in October of 2006, Love Light funds have been used to provide inpatient hospice care to individuals eligible to receive care at the Hospice House regardless of their ability to pay.

Love Light donations can be given all year long and are a meaningful way to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, or a donation in memory or honor of a friend or family member. The Love Light tree is symbolically decorated each December with lights that represent the donations received.

The levels of giving are as follows:

$10 - "Love Light"
$25 - "Snowflake"
$50 - "Dove"
$100 - "Star"
$500 - "Angel"

The Love Light tree is located in St. Mary's atrium and is lit at a special program on the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving each year and it remains lit until mid-January. All donors and recipients are recorded in a permanent book that is kept at the Hospice House.
