- Hospitalist Program – Athens’ first hospitalist program. If your physician uses this service, your care will be supervised by a board-certified hospitalist while you are an inpatient at St. Mary’s. Our hospitalists are specially trained in the health care needs of hospital patients. A hospitalist is on site 24 hours a day. Our hospitalist team works closely with your physician to ensure high quality care and a smooth transition after your discharge.
